I was begging for some new Winning Eleven/ Pro Evolution news for a few days now, PES6 is getting a bit tiresome after all this play (must have played at least 200 hours since release lol :p).
When PES7 was announced for the first ever time they said they were exclusively working with the PS3 architecture to "better the experience".
At that time they released statements saying they loved how the Cell handles the AI and how it creates "exciting offside battles".
I'm not sure if an offside battle is something to be excited about but the AI handling definitely is.
So I'm going to be naively optimistic here and say that Konami will bother to release very different versions of the same game optimised for each console.

pes is latlelly only game i play. and i have played like 1000 hours hehe.
i want pes for ps3. ai is good but i would like to see realtime calculated animations.
so every tackle/kick/ everything would be unique everytime.

When you press shoot, the game calculates ball/ player speed, ball/ player location, it detects where the ball is hit and the ball physics/ player animation act accordingly. You probably knew all that but I'm trying to impress people to make them play PES

yeah it is already a great game but just thinking what it can be on ps3

now, I don't believe anything from this other than the obvious online modes. Box had had online with the series for a while now and it wouldn't surprise me that Rev will always be lacking in such departments.
but some of these things are just hard to picture. now, many would argue that WE is the best ball game out there. but be that as it may, it is still lacking in other departments other than pure gameplay and mechanics. those, although being the core of the experience, do not take to much space to excecute. now, take its biggest rival and the world's best selling footy game FIFA. now that brand has always had the spot light for presentation, graphics, modeling, number of teams & stadiums, bigger (or only) licensing, etc. now these things take up disk space. I would imagine FIFA would be bigger than WE. I don't know how the two have compared in sizes in the past, but we know that things like graphics, sound, etc. is what takes most of the disc space.

I personally dont know. 18gb for a soccer game (this would almost assuredly be for the PS3 estimate)?? Konami confirming FFVII remake?? How the hell does one estimate 3x performance differential for a game (unless he is privy to specific throughputs in every imaginable area) etc..
Gonna have to play it by ear, although its not as if these things are completely beyond the realm of possibility (well most of them anyways).
